World Autism Awareness Day
Today, on World Autism Awareness Day, Home Free’s own Adam Chance is opening up about something deeply personal: he is autistic.
This is a meaningful moment for Chance — and for all of us who know and love him. While this diagnosis is new in name, it’s something Chance has been understanding about himself for a long time. It’s a part of who he is, and it always has been. Today, he’s choosing to share it with the world.
You can check out Chance's post HERE.
In Home Free, we’ve always celebrated what makes each of us unique. That’s part of the magic of this group — five very different people coming together to create something harmonious. Chance's perspective, creativity, and sensitivity have always added depth to our music and to our bond as a band. We hope that his willingness to be open today only deepens that connection.
For Chance, this diagnosis has been a journey of self-discovery, not a label, but a lens — one that brings clarity, understanding, and a greater sense of peace. By sharing his story today, he hopes to help others who may be on similar paths, especially adults who may be wondering about their own neurodivergence.
Autism is not something to be hidden or fixed — it’s something to be seen, understood, and embraced. And we’re proud of Adam for stepping into that truth with honesty and strength.
To our fans: thank you for your continued support, for making space for all kinds of stories, and for helping us create a community built on acceptance, empathy, and music that brings people together.
